A star-studded lineup of Tottenham Hotspur icons (and Sébastien Bassong) will line up against Inter Milan this weekend to celebrate the opening of Spurs’ new sate of the art stadium.

Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated of the White Hart Lane alumni is Paul Gascoigne who has declared himself fit to play and has had fans purring on social media at the prospect of seeing Gazza in the famous white shirt once again.

Gazza won the FA Cup with the club in 1991 and departed a year later for Lazio. Following his spell in Italy, he joined Rangers until 1998 but what followed was a serious of increasingly curious moves that took him further and further down the English football pyramid and even to the Chinese second division!

This video tells the story of the bizarre and often forgotten end of an era for the most naturally gifted midfielder of a generation.
