West Ham & Spurs on alert as Italian giants prepare to axe 35-goal international

According to reports from HITC, AC Milan are ready to sell Keisuke Honda during the summer transfer window – with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham in contention to sign the attacking midfielder.

The 29-year-old is best famed for his lethality from dead ball situations, which has been the predominant source of his 35 goals for Japan and ten strikes across all competitions since moving to the San Siro in January 2014.

Rossoneri recently replaced manager Sinisa Mihajlovic with Cristian Brocchi and the latter’s planned change of formation to a 4-3-1-2 will reportedly leave Honda out in the cold.

The 80-cap international’s contract will enter its final twelve months during the coming transfer window, so a summer departure seems largely inevitable anyway.

According to HITC, who cite reports from Calcionews24, news of Honda’s likely availability this summer has alerted long-term admirers Tottenham Hotspur and London rivals West Ham.

As one of Asian football’s biggest names, the free kick specialist will offer his next club plenty of commercial opportunities in the Far East.
