Football Manager 2019 was released on November 2nd this year, and here at Football FanCast we’ve delved into the depths of the most detailed version of the game ever to find some of the best wonderkids available on your Tottenham save.

Whether those youngsters are already described by the media as wonderkids, or if they need a helping hand to reach their potential, bringing a player from the youth team and moulding him into a first-team star has to be one of the most satisfying achievements in FM.

This year you can be more involved than ever in that development too as FM19 comes with a raft of new features and updates. Most importantly for our young stars, managers can now use the brand new training schedule to optimise the work that each player is putting in - meaning it's no longer good enough to send young players out on loan and pray that they play matches.

With Daniel Levy keeping a tight rein on the purse strings at Tottenham, developing players could be your best bet at building a team capable of challenging for that long-awaited title.

So, who are the young players you should be carefully tracking in the Spurs squad? Click through our gallery to find out.

Despite being just 20-years-old, Carter-Vickers already has six caps for the American national team in real life (five at the start of your save), although he has only played four times for the first-team at Tottenham. The Southend-born centre-back has some impressive stats such as 17 strength and 15 determination, but he'll spend this season on loan in the Championship with Swansea.

Thankfully for your save, Juan Foyth won’t have had the nightmare of a Premier League debut that he suffered in real life recently, where he gave away two penalties in a 3-2 win over Wolves. The Argentine signed from Estudiantes in the summer of 2017 and is a ball playing centre-back.

Attacking midfielder Edwards is clearly a huge talent, but his attitude has come into question a number of times, particularly after he returned from a loan spell at Norwich after just one game at the end of the 2017/18 season. If you can keep him on track after he returns from Dutch side SBV Excelsior though, that 17 agility and 16 dribbling could make him an extremely talented player.

Nationality: English

Best position: Attacking Midfielder (Centre)

17-year-old Skipp is described by FM19 as a hot prospect and Spurs fans may have seen his name on the bench a couple of times already this season. The central midfielder impressed on Tottenham's pre-season tour of the United States and could follow in Harry Winks' footsteps with the right development.

Another impressive centre-mid, Oakley-Boothe is also a hot prospect with decent all-round stats considering his young age. Now an England U18 international, he was part of the Young Lions squad that won the U17 World Cup back in 2017 and made his first-team debut as a substitute for Dele Alli in a Carabao Cup win over Barnsley later in the same year.

Irishman Parrott is just 16 years of age at the start of a new save on FM19, but he already has 15 ratings for dribbling, heading and aggression. Train him well and you never know, he could be taking over goalscoring duties from Harry Kane in just a couple of years.
