Ashley Young set to sign for Inter Milan

Manchester United have confirmed veteran wide-man Ashley Young is due to join Inter Milan. The former Watford and Aston Villa winger has undergone a renaissance as a full-back in recent seasons, to the extent that he has until this move been sporting the captain's armband at Old Trafford and was Gareth Southgate's first-choice wing-back at the 2018 World Cup.

However, the captaincy has now gone to Harry Maguire with Young heading to the San Siro in a £1.28m deal, despite starting just less than half of United's Premier League games this season. Young's contract was due to expire at the end of the campaign though, and it appears that ultimately United have decided to let him leave rather than reach an agreement over a new deal.

Southampton's Ryan Bertrand wanted

According to The Daily Mail, Leicester City have identified Southampton full-back Ryan Bertrand as a summer replacement for Ben Chilwell, who has emerged as a target for Chelsea.

Bertrand hasn't even managed to hold down a spot in Saints' starting XI for periods of this season but he is a well-versed Premier League player with 214 appearances in the top flight under his belt, as well as 145 in the Football League.

He will have just 12 months left on his St. Mary's contract in the summer but Leicester could face competition from fellow admirers Inter Milan, with Antonio Conte said to be a big fan of the one-time England international.

Frank Lampard wants new Willian deal amid Spurs interest

According to London Evening Standard, Frank Lampard has urged Chelsea to resolve Willian's future quickly now that the Brazil international is free to speak to foreign clubs about a free transfer at the end of the season, having entered the final six months of his contract.

The report claims that a number of clubs are interested in signing Willian, including Tottenham Hotspur who narrowly missed out on his services when he joined the Blues in 2013. Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan have also been mentioned as possible suitors.

Willian has provided invaluable experience to an otherwise incredibly youthful Chelsea attack this season. He has bagged four goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, while ranking first throughout the Blues squad for key passes per match.

Aston Villa on the verge of signing Louie Barry

According to Football Insider, youngster Louie Barry has touched down in the UK to complete a £3m transfer from Barcelona to Aston Villa, and was at the club's Bodymoor Heath training ground on Thursday.

The highly-rated 16-year-old joined the La Liga giants only last summer from fellow Midlands club West Brom, but previous reports revealed that he had become frustrated with his situation at Barcelona and felt the club had already broken a number of promises made to him - chiefly that he'd be playing regularly for one of their youth teams as a central attacking midfielder.

Barry looks all set to follow former Baggies academy manager Mark Harrison, who oversaw his development at the Hawthorns, to Villa Park. It may not seem like a particularly significant signing given Villa's current league position of 18th, but the club are expected to reap the rewards of Barry's huge potential in the coming years.
