Didn’t see that coming, did you? The champions Leicester City have lost the opening game of their title defence to newly promoted and, let’s be honest, current shambles of a club, Hull City.
The Foxes stunned everyone last season by winning the title, bit it was widely expected that Ranieri’s side would make easy work of a Hull side with no permanent manager and just 13 fit senior players to choose from.
After a drab first half Hull took the lead with an acrobatic effort from Adama Diomade, and despite an early second half equaliser from Riyad Mahrez, went on to seal the deal with a superb finish from Robert Snodgrass.
We all know that Twitter can go a bit over the top sometimes, but this result sent feeds into meltdown, some users just dismayed while many celebrated that Leicester were back where they belong:
