The Manchester derby returns on Wednesday evening and, although the EFL Cup tie isn’t as important as the Premier League meeting earlier in the season, Jose Mourinho has a lot of work to do to get the fans back on his side.
Sunday’s capitulation against Chelsea is still fresh in the memory and fans want a better showing from their side, after a drab performance against Liverpool a week ago, in which Mourinho set up his side defensively for their trip to Anfield.
United have only won one of their last four in all competitions but may fancy their chances tomorrow night against an out-of-sorts Manchester City side, who are winless in five matches across all competitions following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.
Pep Guardiola and Mourinho famously don’t get on, which is always a talking point, but both sides need to be at their best to get a result and potentially end their woeful runs of form.
Twitter users have already had their say on the result tomorrow and it’s fair to say they’re pretty split on the outcome…
Lol…. tomorrow Manchester United will lose. Mark this tweet

Only a win vs City will make amends for that Sundays horrendious display.

A win vs City will be a good, but won't heal the wound, #MUFC need 5-6 straight wins in PL !
