Arsenal's second-leg clash with AS Monaco has just been kicked into life following a worryingly poor opening half-an-hour or so.

Olivier Giroud fired the important opening goal of the game into the roof of the Monaco net and Gooners all around the world started believe that 'Misson Impossible' was more like 'Mission Improbable' - one more goal and it is very much 'Mission Probable'.

The Frenchman was the scapegoat from the first-leg embarrassment with all six of the striker's attempts failing to hit the target, however, Monaco game aside, the France international has been in inspired form for Arsene Wenger's side, with tonight's goal making eight goals in his last 11 games for the Gunners.

All that remains to be seen now is whether Giroud's goal will kickstart his team-mates into action and whether Arsenal can, for the first time in five seasons, make it through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and, in the process, make history.
