Aaron Lennon, predictably perhaps, put Everton ahead against Spurs by notching against his former charges.
Imagine Lennon enjoyed that goal.

Having spent 10 years in North London, fans were hardly surprised that the former England winger was the one to start the scoring.

Typical. Always happens, doesn’t it?
Well played @AaronLennon12…. Spurs could do with a player like that….

Still, his career at White Hart Lane fizzled out and the £1m signing for Leeds could not keep up with the constant air of change surrounding the club.

Star striker Romelu Lukaku turned provider when he nodded a long ball into Lennon’s path, who did well to cushion his volley past former team mate Hugo Lloris.
Having originally left Spurs this time last year to join the Merseyside outfit on loan, Lennon signed a permanent deal this summer.
While fans are clearly disappointed, their former winger was not given too much abuse on social media due to the good nature of his time there.
The fact he didn’t really celebrate his strike also earned praise.
It just has to be Lennon, to be fair he hasn't really celebrated the goal

Though should it?
1 – Aaron Lennon scored his first Premier League goal for Everton at Goodison Park in his 12th appearance there for the Toffees. Timely.
