Chelsea’s run of not conceding goals is over, and spectacularly so.
In recent weeks, a lot has been made of the Blues racking up the clean sheets in the new 3-4-3 system employed by Antonio Conte, but that impressive six-game streak has now been completely shattered thanks to Christian Eriksen.
The Danish international has been criticised a fair deal for some below par performances this season but he’s reminded us all about what he can do if given too much room with an absolute thunderbolt.
The goal was the opener for Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in a game that the Lilywhites were completely dominating until a stunning Pedro equaliser just before the halftime whistle, which has levelled the scores at 1-1.
The Eriksen goal certainly got people talking on Twitter. Here are just some of the best reactions to the Blues’ run of six games without conceding coming to an end:
Spurs are the first team to score against Chelsea since September 24th, ending their run of clean sheets. #COYS

Cracking goal from Eriksen. Come on Spurs, I'm sick of that bloody Stamford Bridge record.

This Eriksen lad looks decent. Good free kick, then a great goal, now a decent corner. Why hasn't he played this season until today? #COYS
