Video! Chelsea kickstart their festive period in style

Blimey! I hadn’t even had time to put a couple of sweeteners in my tea – I used to be a three sugar man but, well, sorry, I digress – before John Terry gave Chelsea the perfect start to their Premier League clash with Stoke City.

The former England international rose highest to head home from an early Blues corner to settle any pre-match nerves the table-toppers had and, ever since the goal, Chelsea have grown more in confidence and Mark Hughes’ side look like they could be in for a long night.

A win tonight would see Jose Mourinho’s side open up the gap again from Manchester City, and would have the Blues sitting pretty at the top on Christmas Day, something that anyone associated with the West London-based club would’ve wanted during this hectic footballing schedule.
