Reportedly, Watford want Livermore on a loan basis, with an option to purchase the midfielder permanently next summer.
Livermore suffered relegation with the Baggies from the Premier League last time out, and would presumably be keen on making a return to top flight football as soon as possible. If he is to keep his England dream alive – having already made 7 appearances for his country – then he has to find a way out of the second tier quickly.
Despite Livermore being an international midfielder, many Watford fans are far from excited by his potential arrival.
The Hornets are already well stocked in the centre of the park, with Etienne Capoue, Nathaniel Chalobah, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Will Hughes and Tom Cleverley all already there to be called upon. This is not the area of the pitch most in need of reinforcement at Vicarage Road.
Plenty of Watford fans have taken to Twitter to express their dismay at this potential deal…

Please not Livermore. Never really rated him.

Why him though? He’s a pretty poor player. I can’t work out the England caps at all

Watford Twitter is a right laugh when things like Livermore happens. More depressing than every single Sam Smith song
