Watford players post on social media after a rare win on Tuesday

Football Writers' Association: Opening the Door to BAME Journalists

Watford haven’t had a lot to celebrate this season, have they?

Whether you’re a supporter, player or manager, it has to be said that the Hornets have had a torrid time as of late.

They’re yet to win a game in the Premier League, and their last league match was an 8-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City.

However, the Carabao Cup has offered them some reprieve.

The Hertfordshire outfit beat Swansea 2-1 at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening, and these Watford stars didn’t waste their opportunity to post on social media after finally winning a game.

The message was loud and clear. They were happy to finally win, and now they want to build on it by claiming victory in the next round as well.

It remains to be seen if this result can kickstart Watford’s season, but the players are seemingly buoyed by the win, and that can only be a good thing.
