West Ham and Norwich chasing Swedish star

Jiloan Hamad (Malmo)West Ham, Fulham and Norwich are monitoring Malmo skipper Jiloan Hamad, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Swedish winger is set to become a free agent in January, which has seen interest in his signature increase of late.

Malmo are desperate to keep their star man, but are aware that it may be difficult to persuade him to reject interest from major European leagues.

As a result, they are resigned to losing him.

West Ham, Norwich and Fulham are all keen, and could make moves for his signature this winter.

As well as the Premier League trio, Reading, French side Sochaux and Serie A outfit Genoa are all keen.

Hammers chief Sam Allardyce is believed to be looking at strengthening his attacking options in January, despite having invested heavily over the summer.

Meanwhile, Norwich and Fulham are also considering moves as their respective manager ponder adding to their firepower ahead of the latter half of the season.

Hamad has earned six caps at senior level for Sweden, and is considered to be one of his nation’s top emerging talents.

Although he represents the Blågult at international level, he was born in Azerbaijan.
