Insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United manager David Moyes is back working on the training ground as the board continue to back him amid growing pressure.

What’s the latest?

The return of Premier League football has seen the Hammers fail to gather any immediate momentum in an already poor season so far. Indeed, over the festive period so far, Moyes' men have lost both their games.

After defeat at Arsenal on Boxing Day, West Ham followed that up with an even more damning 2-0 home loss to Brentford in front of their own fans.

However, as explained by Ex on the West Ham Way Patreon Page, life goes on as normal for Moyes who has been back out on the training ground presumably trying to figure out how to quickly change his side's fortunes.

The insider wrote: "David Moyes has been at the training ground today working with the players and this morning we were told by top sources that they still back the manager. We will of course update you if we hear any further news."

Time is ticking

Even before the break for the winter World Cup, Moyes was under pressure as they struggled in the Premier League to build up a confident run of form, and crashed out of the Carabao Cup to Blackburn Rovers at the third round.

And after this dismal recent run of form – which sees the Hammers on the verge of being dragged into a relegation scrap with just one point and one place keeping them above the bottom three – it's safe to say things have really changed much of late.

In their next run of fixtures, West Ham face Leeds United, Brentford (in the FA Cup), Wolves and then Everton. That's certainly a winnable run of games.

And, for now, it seems as though the board are at least being patient enough to give him every chance to turn things around. However, if Moyes can't improve his team soon, it really does feel as though he will be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
