Arsenal travel to Upton Park on the back of their first Premier League defeat of the season, whilst West Ham will be looking to add to their list of impressive results since their return to the big time.
Sam Allardyce saw his side come out on top in the London derby at QPR on Monday night, and will be hoping for another solid home performance against Arsene Wenger’s side.
Wenger saw his side lose to league leaders Chelsea last time out, but saw his side respond with a 3-1 win against Olympiakos in the Champions League in midweek.
Allardyce could give Andy Carroll a start, after the big striker made his return as a substitute against QPR on Monday. Allardyce will be wary that Arsenal have conceded three goals from set pieces in their last two league games.
Winston Reid has also recovered from a head injury at Loftus Road but left-back Joey O’Brien is expected to miss out.
Jack Collison and Alou Diarra remain long-term absentees for the Hammers.
Jack Wilshere made his long awaited comeback for the reserves in midweek, but will not be in contention for Saturday.
Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and midfielder Abou Diaby remain on the sidelines with ankle and thigh complaints respectively, whilst Per Mertesacker is available again having missed last weekends game with a virus.
Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Arsenal
