Andy Carroll has not yet given up hope of making the grade at parent club Liverpool or securing a move back to Newcastle.
The England striker is wanted at West Ham and there is an agreement in place between the Hammers and the Reds for the striker to make a £15m permanent move to Upton Park, but Carroll has yet to sign it.
Now it is being reported that the England striker is seriously considering going back to Anfield and trying to fight his way back into Brendan Rodgers’ plans, or get a move back to Newcastle.
Carroll is currently on the sidelines with a heel problem, the latest niggling injury he has suffered, that will see him miss the upcoming England friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has other striker options with Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku linked along with Alvaro Negredo and Everton’s Nikica Jelavic, whilst Carlton Cole will be leaving.
