Bilic could be sacked by Christmas… West Ham fan fumes after Southampton loss

West Ham’s season is teetering on the verge of crisis. Defeat at home to Southampton on Sunday made it four losses from their last four league games and also leaves them with only one win since mid-August – and that was in the EFL Cup against League Two’s Accrington Stanley.

The problems are stacking up all over the place too, with fans voicing their discontent at the move to the London Stadium and questionable summer transfer business. And there seems to be yet another issue bubbling away: Slaven Bilic. The Croatian is negotiating the clichéd ‘tricky second season’, with the Hammers’ excellent performances of 2015/16 a distant memory on recent form.

Bilic being dismissed was an unthinkable notion a matter of months ago, but football stands still for no man. And West Ham TV spoke to an Irons supporter after the weekend loss to Southampton, who, in what was a relatively grounded discussion, claimed he fears for the manager’s future…
