Boro & West Ham in four-club transfer war for Football League sensation

According to reports from Mirror Football, Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham are all targeting Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor.

The left-back was in fantastic form last season, bagging one goal and four assists in 39 Championship appearances whilst averaging 1.3 accurate crosses and 1.2 created chances per match.

The 22-year-old is reportedly keen to seal a summer transfer to the Premier League and no less than four top flight clubs are chasing his signature.

Indeed, Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham have all been linked to the Whites sensation, who claimed the club’s Player of the Year award last season.

However, Burnley are said to be currently leading the race to snap up Taylor, who is rated at around the £6million mark.

That will be disappointing news for West Ham fans, with their resident No.3 Aaron Cresswell facing a four-month spell on the sidelines due to injury.
