West Ham United fans have reacted with a mix of shock and amusement to a Sky Sports News report claiming that Real Madrid are interested in signing Felipe Anderson.

The Spanish giants are said to have identified Anderson as a possible fallback option if they cannot sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer.

Indeed, the report claims that a £60million bid for Hazard has already been rejected, leading to the prospect of a move for Anderson. That deal, the report claims, could total an incredible £65m.

This is despite the fact that Anderson has not scored a goal for the Hammers since December and has been in a major downturn in form.

The thought that Madrid will pay £65m for a player who hasn't scored in 11 games is mind-blowing, and supporters have had a rather mixed reaction to the reported news. Some believe the Hammers should demand a king’s ransom, while others do not think that there is any realistic possibility of the deal happening.
