West Ham United have officially confirmed the arrival of two new coaches to their first-team squad.

Former Hammers captain Kevin Nolan and Paul Nevin - who was previously a coach with England under the tutelage of Gareth Southgate - have both joined David Moyes’ staff initially until the end of the ongoing campaign in an attempt to get the club out of the relegation zone.

And it didn't take long for the messages of good luck to start flowing in for the new coach.

West Ham icon Carlton Cole was among those to send a message to Nolan in response to the news as he posted a heartfelt

Cole spent plenty of years in east London and even managed to bag an impressive 67 goals and 33 assists in a total of 293 games, establishing himself as a cult hero along the way.

As ex-teammates, the two know each other rather well having spent time on the pitch at West Ham.

Nolan joined the Hammers in the summer of 2011 and helped lead the club back to the Premier League in his first season in the south of London.

The now 37-year-old spent four years with West Ham before leaving in 2015.
