West Ham United weren't in action on Saturday and as a result, there was time for a certain Declan Rice to take to Instagram.

The Hammers have to wait until Monday to play during this game week, as they take on Liverpool in what will be one of the toughest fixtures they'll face all season.

The Irons are currently bottom of the table so there is much work for Rice and co to undergo, but during his free time, the midfielder replied to Mason Mount on Instagram.

Mount played a part in Chelsea's impressive 2-1 victory over Spurs, taking to social media after the game to reveal his delight after sealing all three points.

As can be seen in the comments, Rice sent a message of support, revealing that it was a pleasure to watch the midfielder in action.

Rice and Mount are teammates at international level and will both be hopeful of making it into Gareth Southgate's England squad for 2020.

The next international break isn't until the back end of March so it'll be intriguing to see whether the duo make it into the side.

Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings....

Although Rice thinks it was a pleasure to watch the 21-year-old, it's hard to agree based on stats. He performed a solitary dribble and had one shot, not managing to have a huge impact on the win.

That being said, the pair are clearly friends and it was pleasant to see the duo exchanging words on social media.
