According to Goal.com, West Ham United, alongside Bournemouth, are leading the race to sign Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne in this summer's transfer window.

The £70,000-a-week right-back spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Bournemouth - making 14 Premier League appearances for the Cherries, who finished 14th in the table.

The 28-year-old is being tipped to leave Anfield on a permanent deal this summer.

And according to Goal.com, West Ham have joined Bournemouth in the race to sign a player who has been capped on 14 occasions by the English national team.

That said, it would be fair to say that the Hammers fans have had a mixed reaction to news of a potential swoop for the full-back ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Indeed, whilst there are some supporters who would certainly be in favour of Clyne arriving at the London Stadium, others are not so keen on the idea.
