Lukasz Fabianski. A man who so often never lets West Ham down.

So much so that he was named the club's Hammer of the Year for his stunning efforts last season, in which he made more saves than any other Premier League glovesman.

The former Arsenal man has endured a rough ride so far this term due to injury issues, only making 14 Premier League appearances having suffered a hip problem.

However, despite those problems, David Moyes will surely have left Anfield scratching his head as to how the Hammers' Mr Reliable let them down so significantly against Liverpool.

Admittedly, the trip to Anfield may be Fabianski's hardest challenge of the season - Jurgen Klopp's side have netted 64 Premier League goals so far this season, and possess world-class talent in attack such as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Even then, the 34-year-old really should've helped his side take something from the game seeing as they were 2-1 up with just over 20 minutes remaining.

It was Fabianski's weak attempt to save Gini Wijnaldum's header which allowed Liverpool to open to scoring - the Poland international palmed the Dutchman's effort into the net when, if his wrists were stronger, it could've been kept out.

Then, with his side 2-1 up, the West Ham No.1 allowed Salah's effort to squirm through his hands and under his body, when in truth, the Egyptian's strike was not an especially powerful one.

Fabianski has so often been a hero for the east Londoners, proving to be a reliable presence in between the sticks since signing from Swansea.

Premier League Inflation: You won't believe how much these famous transfers would cost today...

If Moyes was to be fretting over any of his players having a poor game at Anfield, we presume that the keeper would've been the one of least concern to the Scot.

However, Fabianski's display was a very poor one, and will surely have left the Hammers boss scratching his head in disbelief.
