West Ham United's Felipe Anderson was clearly in discomfort after being fouled by Muhamed Besic in the 1-0 loss against Sheffield United.

The severity of the injury has come to light, as after missing the draw with Everton, it has now been suggested by ExWHUemployee that the Brazilian could be out until February.

This seems to have caused a mixed reaction among many of those within the West Ham fanbase.

Some feel that the 26-year-old will be missed during his absence, with one fan suggesting that this loss "makes us so light attack-wise".

While another stated that any doubters will be "begging for him back" if the team suffers from a couple of defeats.

Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings....

This stance comes with the Brazilian having played 18 league games this season, coming off the bench once, getting four assists and grabbing his first goal of the season during David Moyes' first game back as manager.

However, there are some fans who don't think that having Anderson unavailable will make any difference to the Hammers' fortunes.

One has even suggested "we play better without Anderson", while another added that "Snodgrass offers more".

This opinion may have been partially shaped by the fact that it took the Brazilian so long to get that opening goal of the campaign.

Meanwhile, one West Ham player sale shows that hype isn't always warranted.
