West Ham United are looking to sign young Internazionale goalkeeper Filip Stankovic, as reported by Calciomercato.

Their advances have so far been turned away, as the Italian giants are reluctant to lose the 17-year-old as things stand.

Considering the Serbia youth international's tender age, and the fact that he has been on the Inter bench twice, it seems unlikely that will be changing anytime soon.

In total, he has played 17 games for the Primavera side and U19s this season, conceding 17 goals and keeping eight clean sheets.

This is not exactly spectacular, and unless that is the case, there is no way that West Ham should be looking at goalkeepers right now, considering the current situation they have regarding men to fill the sticks.

Lukasz Fabianski is presently the club's main goalkeeper, and despite having missed 13 games through injury this time around, is someone who can help the club moving forward, should he stay past the summer - he won the Hammer of the Year last term.

Then there is Darren Randolph who was signed during the January transfer window, while David Martin can also be used as a backup option.

Roberto is technically still a West Ham goalkeeper still, but the hope will be that he is permanently gone by the summer considering his calamity while filling the London Stadium goal. He made a number of high profile errors including one where he punched the ball into his own net.

Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings....

Aside from the senior men, there is Nathan Trott, who has six England U20s caps, as well as Joseph Anang, who has also made an appearance for England U20s - below that, there is 15-time Hungary U17s international Krisztian Hegyi.

With all this in mind, it is difficult to see why the Hammers are now looking to sign another goalkeeper, particularly when they have a wealth of options in that position throughout the age groups.

There are various areas within West Ham's squad that could use strengthening in the summer - bringing in a stopper should be right near the bottom of the priority list for now.
