One of the most drawn out transfer saga's of the summer is seemingly about to come to an end, with Diafra Sakho reportedly having finally agreed a move to West Brom.

Sakho has long been linked with a move away this summer, and whilst a host of clubs were touted - West Brom have seemingly won the race for the talented attacker.

His departure however leaves a gaping hole in the West Ham attack, and as a result they will no doubt have to invest the money produced by Sakho into a new front man.

A host of targets have been linked, but who are the best options for West Ham to bring in this summer?

Here are FIVE Diafra Sakho replacements West Ham should consider...

Andre Ayew

One player that has been linked with West Ham for a few weeks is Andre Ayew, and if reports in the British press are to be believed - a move for the Swansea man could be sewn up within the week!

It is easy to see what Ayew could offer to West Ham; rampaging attacking runs, pace and the ability to shoot from distance - he could prove to be a real asset to the West Ham first team.

Expect this one to be completed shortly. But it seems unlikely that Ayew will be the only front man coming to London this summer...

Saido Berahino

The sale of Sakho to West Brom could also lead to an interesting turn of events that could lead right back to West Ham.

With the arrival of Sakho at West Brom, that will likely mean the end of Saido Berahino's spell at The Hawthorns - a move away that has been rumoured for months.

With West Ham keen to land a striker; they would struggle to do much better than the prolific English front man.

At just 22 years old, he has bags of potential on top of what he has already shown in the Premier League, and could be the man to lead the West Brom attack for years to come.

The Telegraph are reporting that he is set to move on when the deal is completed; will West Ham come calling?

Jese

One slightly more peculiar move that West Ham could go for is with regards to a Real Madrid star.

Jese has long been on the peripherals of the Real Madrid first team, often playing 3rd or 4th fiddle behind a talented number of attackers; and as a result he could move on this summer in search of more regular first team football.

The Daily Express is reporting that West Ham are in talks over a £15 million move for the Spanish forward, and he would definitely bring some class and technical quality to a quickly developing West Ham side.

His signing would no doubt be considered a coup by many, and he would no doubt perform next season as West Ham look to kick on after a successful 2015/16 campaign.

Mario Mandzukic

West Ham could also benefit from the events of another transfer saga involving Italian giants Juventus, who recently smashed a host of transfer records with the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli.

His signing will no doubt push current Juve star Mario Mandzukic down the pecking order, and with the striker keen to get first team minutes; he could be forced to move elsewhere in order to find them.

The Daily Star is reporting that West Ham are aware of Mandzukic's concerns, and are monitoring the situation. They add that they are very interested in the forward.

Like Jese, signing the Juventus star would no doubt be a real coup for West Ham; and his goal scoring record is good enough to fire West Ham right back into Europe.

Loic Remy

One player that West Ham have not been explicitly linked with, but could really become an asset for the club is Loic Remy.

The French forward currently finds himself in a state of limbo with Chelsea, far away from a starting role.

As the striker gets into the final years of his peak; he could be keen to move on and find regular football in the Premier League.

Chelsea could be in the market to sell Remy too, given that they are looking to rebuild their strike force going into next season.

A bid of around £10 million could be enough to seal the deal; and in Remy West Ham would get guaranteed goals, with very little risk.

A win/win?
