Furious West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter on Tuesday to react to an announcement from their club about season tickets for the upcoming 2019/20 season.

After using the slogan "we're building something special, but we can't do it without you," the Irons confirmed that prices for season tickets in Bands 1-4 and the 1966 Club would be increasing, with some under-16 season tickets having around 50 per cent of the original price added on to them.

This is the first time since moving from the Boleyn Ground to London Stadium in summer 2016 that prices for all seats in Bands 1-4 and the 1966 Club haven't been frozen while the club have also upgraded some sections up a Band, making them more expensive for fans.

As expected, despite increases in season ticket prices at the end of a season being a common theme in modern football, this has caused outrage within the ranks of the Claret & Blue Army.

Some supporters are absolutely beside themselves, one even vowing not to renew for the first time in 33 years and others accusing the club of shameful, greedy and loyalty-less tendencies.
