Mail Online are reporting that West Ham have won the race to sign highly rated Marseille winger Dimitri Payet.
After the signing of Pedro Obiang, West Ham are keen to continue to build a side that can build on this year’s league position.
The French international is believed to be available for around £6m and new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is keen on making him his second signing.
Everton are also interested in the player but it has been suggested that the player’s willingness to move to London has been the deciding factor.
Payet impressed last term where he netted seven times in 36 appearances for the French club and was a pivotal member in the squad that finished in fourth spot in Ligue 1.
He joined Marseille from Lille for a fee in the region of€11m in 2013 and has gone on to become a regular for his national side winning 14 caps and scoring in the recent friendly defeat against Belgium.
