West Ham United will finally face Manchester City on Wednesday after their original fixture was postponed.

There is a lot of controversy around the game, as it's being played on the same day as a Champions League night, shortly after City received a two-year ban from the competition.

However, David Moyes and his team will need to put these issues to the side, as they aim to get a result that could help them stay in the Premier League.

Therefore Moyes should have learned his lesson from the previous match to not play around with a team that is doing well. The Seagulls' last two goals of the game came within five minutes of his first substitution.

With that in mind, FFC has predicted the starting XI that Moyes may utilise against the reigning champions, with no changes being made from the Brighton draw.

Lukasz Fabianski is the club’s undisputed number 1, so it's only natural that he's the man to start between the sticks.

Now that Ryan Fredericks is in the side, it is likely that he will stay in over Pablo Zabaleta - especially when it's considered he could be facing the pace of Raheem Sterling.

There were calamitous performances from the defence against Brighton, with the biggest example being Pascal Gross’ goal, but Moyes could stand by Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna.

Aaron Cresswell maintains his place on the left side of defence. There is little chance of Arthur Masuaku taking his spot, as two goals were conceded within five minutes of the Democratic Republic of Congo international coming on against Brighton.

West Ham's centre-midfield trio stays the same, with Declan Rice sitting slightly behind Tomas Soucek and Mark Noble.

For away day veterans only: Can you name all of these defunct stadiums?

Michail Antonio is the man who was replaced by Masuaku ahead of that debacle and could be set to start again, while Robert Snodgrass operates from the right.

Felipe Anderson or Jarrod Bowen may have been included for this game, but the former is still an injury doubt, while Moyes is wary of throwing the latter in too soon, as reported by the club's official website.

Sebastien Haller has pretty much no competition to be the main striker, with Albian Ajeti going the whole season without scoring a goal or assisting, so it is hard to see him being displaced.

Meanwhile, West Ham have been shown what they're missing.
