How West Ham must line up when they host Everton on Sunday

West Ham United will look to end what has been a disappointing season on a high when they host Everton and former manager Sam Allardyce on the final day of the Premier League campaign at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The Irons preserved their top-flight spot for at least another 12 months thanks to their 2-0 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last weekend – coupled with other results going in their favour – and they followed that up with a goalless draw at home to Manchester United on Thursday.

Manager David Moyes’ contract with the east London outfit runs out after this match, and it is still unclear whether he will be kept on beyond the summer or not, with rumours suggesting the club is eyeing ambitious moves for the likes of Unai Emery and Thomas Tuchel if the Scot does go.

Their fans on Twitter would seemingly be happy if the 54-year-old left having been left unimpressed with some of their team’s performances and results in recent months, and while they will obviously want their side to win on Sunday, they will also be aware that taking seven points from nine available in their last three matches would boost Moyes’ chances of remaining at the club.

The former Manchester United boss named an unchanged line-up from the win against Leicester for the visit of his ex-employers, but he may well be considering making some alterations this weekend with just three days between the two fixtures, and to give some fringe players an opportunity to impress.
