West Ham United will look to end what has been a disappointing season on a high when they host Everton and former manager Sam Allardyce on the final day of the Premier League campaign at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The Irons preserved their top-flight spot for at least another 12 months thanks to their 2-0 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last weekend – coupled with other results going in their favour – and they followed that up with a goalless draw at home to Manchester United on Thursday.

Manager David Moyes' contract with the east London outfit runs out after this match, and it is still unclear whether he will be kept on beyond the summer or not, with rumours suggesting the club is eyeing ambitious moves for the likes of Unai Emery and Thomas Tuchel if the Scot does go.

Their fans on Twitter would seemingly be happy if the 54-year-old left having been left unimpressed with some of their team's performances and results in recent months, and while they will obviously want their side to win on Sunday, they will also be aware that taking seven points from nine available in their last three matches would boost Moyes' chances of remaining at the club.

The former Manchester United boss named an unchanged line-up from the win against Leicester for the visit of his ex-employers, but he may well be considering making some alterations this weekend with just three days between the two fixtures, and to give some fringe players an opportunity to impress.

Here is how West Ham must line up against Everton, ahead of Adrian in goal…

West Ham United kept their second successive clean sheet against United on Thursday, and while this may be Joe Hart's last chance to appear for the Hammers before his loan spell ends, Moyes should keep with a goalkeeper who is more likely to still be with the club next season in Adrian.

The three-man defence of Declan Rice, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell have also been impressive in the previous two games, but as long as he is fit the Scottish boss must bring James Collins back into the XI in place of Ogbonna for what could be his final appearance given his contract expires at the end of next month.

Captain Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyate have both come under heavy criticism from the fans for some of their below-par displays in the middle of the park this season, but the pair have been much improved in their previous two appearances.

Noble scored a stunning goal against Leicester and went toe-to-toe with Paul Pogba on Thursday, and while the skipper should start against Everton on the final day, Moyes should look to give youngster Josh Cullen a spot in the XI next to the 31-year-old in place of Kouyate, to allow him to stake a claim for a place in the team next term.

Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic are going to be two of West Ham's key players next season if the club are going to push for European qualification again, and two must both start against Everton on Sunday.

While Arnautovic has been playing as a centre-forward in recent weeks, he should drop back into the position that Joao Mario – who would be making his final appearance for the club unless a deal can be sorted with Inter Milan this summer – has been occupying, to allow Jordan Hugill a proper chance up top.

The 25-year-old has only played 22 minutes of Premier League football across three substitute appearances since moving to the London Stadium in January, and he deserves his start.
