According to the Daily Star, West Ham have made it clear that they have no intention of selling striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian has been in fine form for the Hammers so far this season, and has already racked up five Premier League goals.

The 29-year-old is the spearhead of the Irons’ attack and if he were to be prised away from the London Stadium then it would constitute a major blow for West Ham. However, if the 75-cap Austria international were to be sold, he would almost certainly attract a far greater figure than his £22.5m Transfermarkt valuation.

Whilst West Ham have made their position clear, plenty of big clubs who may hold an interest in Arnautovic have pockets deep enough to test the Hammers’ resolve. Every player has his price, and despite his talismanic role in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, West Ham would be foolish to turn down a huge bid for the forward.

If the Hammers were offered upwards of £45m for Arnautovic, at this stage in his career, then they should seriously consider accepting the bid and reinvesting in a new, younger goalscorer.

What do you think, Irons fans - how much is the Austrian worth?
