During the summer transfer window West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang was linked with a move away from the London Stadium.

However, the club managed to keep hold of him and since September he has become a regular in Manuel Pellegrini's team.

The 26-year-old was left out of the club's first four Premier League matches, all of which they lost.

When Obiang came into the side, though, they went on an impressive run that resulted in wins over Everton and Manchester United.

The team also managed to hold Chelsea to a goalless draw, but they suffered a bump in the road when they were beaten by Brighton last week.

Obiang has been a key part of a three-man midfield alongside Mark Noble and Declan Rice.

However, it appears that the transfer rumours are not going away, particularly in Italy.

In a recent report from Calciomercato, Serie A side Atalanta hold an interest in signing Obiang.

Given that the midfielder is a regular in the side, he could reject any interest, but would a return to Italy be too attractive to turn down?
