According to the reliable @ExWHUemployee via his official Twitter account, West Ham United want to make two signings before the January transfer window slams shut on Wednesday night, and they have bids in for a number of players.
I expect one first team player to leave (Ayew) and a few academy players on loan. Coming in we have around 10 bids of which I would expect about 2 to join. (Slimani in talks now) Of course anything can happen and I’ll do my best to keep you up to date around my regular job ⚒

Well, Irons boss David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his injury-hit squad before the 11pm deadline, with a striker and a central midfielder seemingly his top targets.
Club insider @ExWHUemployee is expecting two new faces through the door before the close of play, although the centre-forward won’t be Islam Slimani with Newcastle United set to win the race to sign the 29-year-old on loan from Leicester City.
Meanwhile, the east London outfit have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent days, with Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker, Lille’s Ibrahim Amadou and Fulham’s Tom Cairney looking to be most likely to join another January new boy Joao Mario at the London Stadium.
They probably need more given the injuries and suspensions they have right now – as well as Michail Antonio missing matches because of his discipline – but Moyes will be delighted to get two deals over the line to boost his squad.
While it seems as though he wants a defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and striker, it seems as though the Scot may have to settle for getting just two of those this window.
Newcastle beating them to Slimani would have been a big blow, but Krasnodar striker Fyodor Smolov is another potential arrival while it appears as though they could be in for James Maddison of Norwich City as well as Cairney at Fulham.
There is still plenty of time left to get the deals over the line, and Moyes will be hoping that he goes to bed on Wednesday night with a smile on his face – especially with a big match against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium to come on Saturday.
