There aren't too many youngsters who will play their first two senior matches against the league leaders and come out of it well, but that is exactly what Jeremy Ngakia has done against Liverpool, before posting about the most recent game on Instagram.

The first time around, during a 2-0 loss, he made two dribbles, three tackles and won two aerial duels, dealing with Divock Origi and Andrew Robertson well.

He was up against Sadio Mane on Monday, after Ryan Fredericks damaged shoulder ligaments, and put in an even more impressive performance than he did the first time around.

The 19-year-old excelled at Anfield, completing two dribbles, winning two aerial duels, making more tackles than anyone else on the pitch with seven, adding four clearances and three interceptions - which put him joint-top with Angelo Ogbonna in the latter category.

In the caption to his post, Ngakia stated that he was "happy to make another appearance" and with a performance like that, it is likely he could go on to make more, with Fredericks still injured and Pablo Zabaleta ageing.

Before the Liverpool game, FFC suggested that the full-back may have an opportunity to prove himself for the first-team after Fredericks' injury, and he has certainly started work on doing that.
