Joe Allen played the full 90 minutes as Stoke City recorded a 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in the Championship on Monday evening.

And a number of West Ham United supporters seemingly had a close eye on the performance of the central midfielder.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Allen was a transfer target for new Hammers boss David Moyes.

The 29-year-old, for the moment, remains a Stoke player, but it would be fair to say that a lot could happen before the January window closes for business.

According to WhoScored, Allen made two tackles and won three aerial duels against West Brom, although his pass success rate was down at 71%.

And some West Ham fans were critical of his performance.

Not all of the supporters share the same opinion, though, as some are seemingly open to the idea of the Welshman arriving at London Stadium.

Allen, who has captained the Potters in two of their last three league matches, has contributed three goals in 26 appearances at club level this term.

Another fan, meanwhile, has said that rather than signing Allen, the club should recall Conor Coventry and Josh Cullen from their loan spells at Lincoln City and Charlton Athletic respectively.

A number of the club's supporters, meanwhile, were particularly disappointed with the performance of one player in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Everton.
