West Ham have confirmed the signing of Jack Wilshere on a three-year deal after the 26-year-old left Arsenal following 17 years at the club.

The Englishman's contract with the Gunners ended this summer and after he made the decision not to renew it, he had been heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.

Wilshere told whufc.com that he had been a Hammers fan as a child though and that his West Ham supporting family and friends were 'buzzing' with his decision to move to the London Stadium.

After years of injury problems and a loan spell away at Bournemouth for 2016/17, Wilshere broke back into the Arsenal side last season and made 40 appearances in all competitions.

He also has 34 caps and has scored two goals for England, but missed out on Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's World Cup.

The midfielder will join up with Manuel Pellegrini’s squad at their pre-season training camp in Switzerland and West Ham fans clearly can't wait to see him in action. Check out some of their best reactions to the announcement below.
