RB Leipzig attacker Emil Forsberg was the hero for Sweden as his deflected strike took helped his nation beat Switzerland to reach the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup, and lots of West Ham United fans have urged their club to sign the 26-year-old.

The winger, rated at £47m by his club, came to attention during the 2016/17 campaign when he announced himself as something of an assist king for the surprise German package, but despite a slightly disappointing season last time out he is making a big impact for his country in Russia.

His performances may well tempt a number of clubs to make a move for him this summer, and his record of 21 goals and 37 assists in 112 Leipzig games suggests he would have a big impact at somewhere like the Irons, who may well be looking for a Manuel Lanzini replacement this summer.

Many West Ham supporters, others of whom want to see their club swoop for a Liverpool outcast, were quick to react to Forsberg's latest display via social media, and while one said "I want him at West Ham", another said "go for Forsberg".
