Man United and Man City target shock summer moves for recent West Ham signing

Manchester City and Manchester United are both keen on West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna and could go head-to-head for his signature this summer, according to reports from The Times.

The Italy international only signed for the Hammers from Juventus ahead of the current season, and after a difficult opening few months has settled well in east London.

And it seems that his fine form in the claret and blue shirt has attracted BOTH Manchester clubs, with reports claiming they see him as an ideal solution to their defensive woes.

The North West rivals have both had their problems at the back this season, with City’s 28 goals conceded a hindrance in their title challenge and United’s 26 partly to blame for their current spot outside of the top four.

Ogbonna is known for his athleticism and reading of the game and boasts a wealth of European experience following his spell with Juventus – who reached the Champions League Final last year.
