Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has tipped West Ham United to make it four straight Premier League wins when they travel to Fulham this weekend.

Since suffering a 4-0 home defeat to Manchester City, West Ham have beaten Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace in England's top flight.

The Hammers have scored nine times across those three matches, and will travel to a Fulham team that is rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

The Cottagers, who were so impressive in the Championship last season, have lost 11 of their 16 league matches during the 2018-19 campaign.

Merson has said that 'West Ham have turned the corner' in recent weeks, and the pundit feels that Manuel Pellegrini's team will have far too much for Fulham at Craven Cottage, predicting a 3-1 away success this weekend.

Merson wrote on Sky Sports:

"West Ham have turned the corner. They're on a roll. They've had a lot of hard games this season, and we judged them quite early on, but they've bounced back.

"West Ham have good individual players who can win football matches; Marko Arnautovic is injured, but Felipe Anderson has stepped up big time. Andy Carroll is coming back, and he'll provide another dimension. What an option to have.

"But I've got to go West Ham here. I don't fancy Fulham one bit, I just think they're going to concede too many goals. I'd be shocked if they stayed up; they have to score two or three goals every week to win a football match."

West Ham have won six, drawn three and lost seven of their 16 Premier League matches during the 2018-19 campaign.

Pellegrini's team will enter Week 17 in the top flight in 11th position in the table, just five points off sixth-placed Manchester United.
