West Ham United were one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the January transfer window, recruiting nine players in total.

However, it seems that manager Manuel Pellegrini is not entirely satisfied with his options as he intends to strengthen in January.

The rumour mill has been bubbling, and recently linked former Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri with a switch to the London Stadium.

On Monday, the London Evening Standard reported that the 31-year-old was undergoing a medical with the Hammers ahead of a free transfer.

The publication suggested that Nasri will sign a six-month deal worth £80,000-per-week, and will be eligible to play again at the end of December when his current ban ends.

The midfielder was hit with an 18-month suspension after an illegal substance was found in his system following intravenous treatment at a clinic in Los Angeles.

Nasri, whose contract at Antalyaspor was mutually terminated in January, played under Pellegrini while at City.

Despite the link between the pair, plenty of West Ham fans are unhappy by this latest development, particularly when midfielder Declan Rice is struggling to agree terms with the club regarding a new contract.
