According to the London Evening Standard, West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to sign Callum Wilson this summer, but the club's board are reluctant to meet Bournemouth's £60m asking price for the centre-forward.

Wilson was in impressive form for the Cherries during the 2018-19 campaign - scoring 14 times and registering 10 assists in 30 Premier League appearances.

The 27-year-old has suffered two serious knee injuries during his career, however, and according to the London Evening Standard, the West Ham board don't feel as though the England international is worth the south coast outfit's £60m valuation.

Wilson has shown over the last four seasons that he is more than capable of finding the back of the net at Premier League level.

However, it seems that the West Ham fans agree when it comes to their board's reported stance on the Englishman. Indeed, whilst many rate Wilson, they have accepted that £60m would be too much.
