Reece Oxford was seen as an exciting young prospect when he made his debut as a 16-year-old.

The defensively-minded West Ham United player is still only 19, but he has failed to kick on for the East London outfit.

Under current manager Manuel Pellegrini, Oxford has not made a single senior appearance.

Last season, the defender had loan spells at Borussia Monchengladbach, and now reports are swirling that he will leave the Hammers on a permanent basis.

According to Sky Sports News, the German team are considering making a move for Oxford, but this time offering a permanent deal.

In an interview with The Times, the teenager admitted that he is "angry" with the lack of game time, and if he continues struggling to get some minutes on the pitch, he will seek a move away.
