Dimitri Payet has been a revelation at West Ham since arriving from Marseille in 2015 and the Frenchman is the favourite to win the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award for October.
It’s been a difficult season for Slaven Bilic’s side so far, with the club struggling to acclimatise to their new home at the London Stadium, but Payet has helped the Hammers show some signs of progression and start to build some consistency.
His fantastic goal in the 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough last month is one of the leading candidates to win the Goal of the Month award, though he faces competition from the likes of Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

The Euro 2016 finalist’s goal against Middlesbrough is his only strike in the Premier League so far this season, though Payet has found the net once in the League Cup.
Those wanting to vote in the Premier League’s Goal of the Month poll can do so here and the fans will certainly hope the Irons can get November off to a bang this weekend, when they face Stoke City.
