Loads of West Ham fans have been trying to disect the utterly insane events of their 4-3 win over Huddersfield, and they’re full of praise for Samir Nasri.

Manuel Pellegrini took a big gamble bringing Nasri to West Ham, trusting a player he relied upon at Manchester City to deliver the goods in east London, despite the fact that the Frenchman had not played competitive football for the first half of the season.

The 31 year-old has proved to be a very valuable addition by the boss though, picking up his second assist of the campaign on Saturday in just his sixth appearance.

The Hammers were blown away when Huddersfield scored three unanswered goals in response to Mark Noble’s early penalty, with a screamer from Karlan Grant the pick of the bunch.

Pellegrini introduced Nasri off the bench with the score at 2-1, and despite Grant’s wondergoal six minutes later, the addition of both Nasri and Javier Hernandez completely changed the game.

Angelo Ogbonna got one back before Chicharito grabbed two to win the game 4-3, with Nasri setting up the Mexican’s first strike.

The January arrival touched the ball 45 times and completed every single one of his 39 passes.
