Player Ratings: The three outfield players who impressed West Ham fans most vs Everton

West Ham provided a promising end to a difficult season at the London Stadium on Sunday, beating Everton in a 3-1 win on the final day of the Premier League campaign. After the victory, which was sealed by goals from Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic, we asked Hammers supporters to issue player ratings for each of the Irons stars involved.

Goalkeeper Adrian picked up 7.7/10, having nearly held onto a clean sheet only for Oumar Niasse’s late goal. But three outfield players either matched or improved upon the Spaniard’s score – here’s a rundown of those who impressed West Ham fans most…

Joao Mario – 7.7/10: The January loan signing has proved a useful addition to West Ham’s squad and although he failed to score or assist on Sunday, Mario was a tricky presence in attacking midfield. He created the second-most chances and took the third-most shots at goal of any Hammers player, while completing 89% of his passes. West Ham fans will be desperate for the club to sign the Inter Milan midfielder permanently this summer.

Manuel Lanzini – 8.4/10: It’s been a stop-start campaign for Manuel Lanzini but nonetheless one laced with some big moments, including a brace to sign off the season on Sunday. The Argentine attacker also completed four dribbles, the most of any West Ham player, and 91% of his passes. No player for either team had more touches of the ball either.

Marko Arnautovic – 8.5/10: He was officially announced as West Ham’s Player of the Season so perhaps it’s fitting Arnautovic finished up as the Man of the Match for the Hammers’ final outing of the campaign. The Austrian grabbed a goal and an assist, creating five chances in total, and proved simply too much to handle for Everton’s shaky backline.
