West Ham fans have been debating a summer swoop for Jamaal Lascelles, after reports claimed Newcastle will demand £30m for the defender.
After the Mirror reported Lascelles as a summer target for West Ham, there has been plenty of debate over the defender’s price tag.
Newcastle are desperate to keep hold of their talisman, and the 30m asking price is certainly steep.
That said, there aren’t many 24 year-olds going around with as much experience and leadership ability as Lascelles, so with the Hammers looking to strengthen their spine, a big money move would certainly make sense.
Marlon Santos seems to be the other centre back Manuel Pellegrini is keeping an eye on, but he could yet swoop for both, with James Collins leaving the club, Declan Rice still learning his craft and Winston Reid going off the boil.
Fans have been discussing a mega money summer swoop for the 24 year-old Lascelles, and an overwhelming majority said they would back a move, even if it cost £30m.
