The Mirror recently reported that West Ham are considering a making move for Gary Cahill in the January transfer window.

The Chelsea defender’s current contract is set to expire at the end of this season but he is likely to push for a Stamford Bridge exit early, in the winter transfer window, in an effort to secure more regular first team football elsewhere. 

The 32-year-old former England international still has plenty to offer in the Premier League, albeit for a side slightly further down the table than where the Blues are used to competing at. The Champions League and two-time Premier League winner’s experience and leadership would certainly prove useful in a number of other top flight squads.
