According to results from our recent poll, the majority of West Ham fans think that reported striker target Divock Origi would not be able to replace Marko Arnautovic should the Austrian leave this month.

The 29-year-old Hammers man has been subject to a £35m bid from an anonymous Chinese club and, according to agent and brother Danijel, who was talking to talkSPORT on Thursday, is keen for the London Stadium outfit to accept.

Arnautovic's unprecedented transformation into one of the best players outside of the top six following a switch from Stoke and a genius conversion from a winger to a centre-forward has seen his value sky-rocket - the 6-foot-4 misfit is the Irons' joint-top scorer this season with eight to his name in all competitions.

Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly under no inclination to take the money being offered from the east as he surely has little faith in the backup striker options. With a deal for Origi apparently on the cards, but only if one of the current crop leaves, we posed the question as to whether the 23-year-old Belgian could replace the talismanic Arnautovic.

The answer was a fairly resounding 'no', with 67% of the claret and blue faithful of the belief that the Liverpool man wouldn't be able to step up - you can check out the full results of our poll below...
