The West Ham fans that answered our poll were split on who the best option to start at left-back against Chelsea is, with just over half voting for Aaron Cresswell over Arthur Masuaku.

Masuaku has played all but one of new boss Manuel Pellegrini's Premier League games in charge so far, but struggled up against Theo Walcott last weekend despite the Hammers picking up their first win of the season at Goodison Park.

The Chilean boss also has the option of Cresswell, who is perhaps less of a threat going forward but his better defensive ability could be crucial up against a Chelsea side who are joint top-scorers in the league so far this season.

Cresswell, who is valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, joined the Hammers from Ipswich in 2014 and has three caps for England. The 28-year-old was favoured slightly ahead of Masuaku by West Ham fans, with 53 per cent of those who answered our poll keen to see him start. Check out the full results below.
